Antoinette Truglio Martin wrote the middle grade award-winning series, Becoming America’s Stories, and the memoir, Hug Everyone You Know. Her picture book, Famous Seaweed Soup was originally published in 1993. For almost twenty years, the book was read and enjoyed throughout the world in classrooms, libraries, households, and vacation destinations. This new edition will continue the legacy and delight children for generations.
Antoinette retired from a 40 year career as a speech therapist and special education teacher and proudly holds an MFA in Creative Writing and Literature from Stony Brook University. She now devotes time and energy as a writer and nonny. Her stories' inspirations come from observing the magic of children’s play, listening to the rich family histories tales told around the table, and absorbing the beauty and drama of the bay and ocean shores in her hometown of Sayville, New York.
